Our Vineyards

Margaret River

Our ‘boutique wine region’ vineyard was established in 1998 and located in the northern heartland of the Margaret River region between Caves Road and Bussell Highway. Our ‘Station Gully’ vineyard is 38 hectares and home to our own winery. Varieties planted are all on original rootstocks with the key French varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc providing the finest fruit for our wine range.

Blackwood Valley

Our older vineyard was established in 1997 in the Blackwood Valley region, in the picturesque rolling hills of Boyup Brook. Our ‘Tweed River’ vineyard is 52 hectares, making us the largest winegrower in the region. The region’s climate is ideally suited to bold reds and aromatic whites grown in deep duplex gravelly soils.

Our main grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Chardonnay, grown on various sloped sites within our vineyard to ensure the best growing conditions for each variety. We also have small blocks of unique varieties such as Malbec, Tempranillo, Vermentino and Grenache, from which we produce our small batch Round Puzzle wines. Our vineyard and winemaking people have observed that our Blackwood Valley vineyard has a tendency for smaller berry size, more fruit intensity, deeper colours, and concentrated flavours, from which we make extraordinary wines.
